Note that capacity stated is distributed weight capacity. Always secure your loads with straps prior to moving your vehicle. Please read and understand product manual prior to using product. Cargo Carrier must be completely out of vehicle's exhaust path to prevent the possibility of contents catching on fire. In some cases, depending on the location of the vehicle's exhaust path, it may be necessary to install to the vehicle's receiver hitch a HITCH RISER (not included). This hitch riser will raise the level of the Cargo Carrier so that the contents are at a higher level safely out of the way of the vehicle's exhaust path.
